I would recommend reading the thread here for an in depth discussion on the different wheel manufacturing processes.

Basically a rotary forged wheel is a more advanced production method that results in an average weight about 20-30% lighter than a comparable low-pressure cast wheel (such as your OEM wheels).
This translates to better better performance as more torque is transferred to the wheels/road and less spent on turning the wheels.

Flow formed wheels are also stronger and less prone to bending/cracking than a standard cast wheel.

Basically its the best bang-for-the-buck option in terms of weight/strength, perfect for a high performance daily driver if you're not looking to drop $4-7,000 for a set of fully forged wheels.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Too bad the owner of the C7 with Interlagos didn't (or couldn't) opt for Michelin Pilot Super Sports - perhaps since the rears are unfortunately still on back order.

The PSS's weigh only 24lbs for the fronts, and 28lbs for the rears. That would have made for a REALLY light wheel/tire setup compared to stock.

These TSWs and Crays are a great option.

Yup, Super Sports have been so difficult to get your hands on lately

Heres a few more nice shots of the 19/20" Interlagos on Jim's C5!

A1 service in my book

Wheels went on super easy now that I have a jack that works. The fit is just about perfect. Fronts are perfectly flush with the fender and the rears are tucked in by about 1mm or less. Not even enough to worry about. The car looks awesome, wheel wells are now full. Thought I might have to raise the car a little but that's not the case. The rear actually looks a little high to me but I'll let it be and it may settle a little in a few days.

Now time to do some yard work
Take a look at his full wheel install write up here!

Greenkirby just shared these great photos of his custom finished Brushed Gunmetal TSW Nurburgrings in 18/19"

They are an amazing vendor, and a great forum sponsor! They responded almost immediately to my e-mails, and I sure asked a lot of them!

They are really well known for their amazing custom finishes on their wheels! I spent hours upon hours just looking at all their finishes.

I ended up going with the level 3 bespoke brushed gunmetal finish. I think it will look good on my laguna blue car

it took 4-6 weeks, but it was totally worth it!

Cant wait to see them installed, we should have installed photos soon!
