ipod issue
cant control my IPod touch with my stock stereo and an ISimple connector. I plays thru the stereo with no problem, but cannot change the songs etc from either the stereo or the steering wheel controls.
It worked perfectly with my IPod classic, got the IPod touch and nothing.
Any suggestions?
Is the Ipod touch the 32pin connector like your Ipod? Or does the Ipod touch have the lightning connector? If the ladder, I would suspect the cable is the issue. Some lightning cables aren't MFi certified and won't allow syncing. What year is your vette and what stereo do you have? The nav in my 2013 works great with my iPhone 6 for playback and controlling through the stereo.

1) I have a 2007 with the original factory stereo
2) using an ISimple IPOD adapter cord (32 pin) with a Lightning cord adapter
anyone else using a ipod touch with a 2007 factory stereo

Are you able to sync the ipod to your computer using the same ISimple cord and 32pin to lightning adapter?
no the Isimple cable is hardwired into the back of the stereo, but I use the same Lighting Pin adapter in my 2013 Audi A6 and it works like a charm. Just might be that the factory stereo/software is not compatable with this new technology. But it plays the music with no problem, I just cant change songs etc with it

Turns out you were correct Amplid. Switched to a new isimple cable, went with the upgraded one so now I also have Bluetooth and Wireless Phone connection and usb port. So all is good now. Thanks for the info
