Code P0601 Engine Stalling
Just wondering what to do with this issue . I have a 05 C6 and the car is stalling out after about 20 mins of use. It will restart after a few mins but in that 2 mins there is no voltage at all . I had the battery replaced and the Alternator checked and all good there. Is the ECM a common problem ? Would like to know if anyone out here has had similar issues. Thanks Joe
you might read up on P0601 , there are many links found doing a google for it.

My C6 with 28,000 just started doing this. The car will idle for about 15 minutes and then shut down with DIC saying redused engine speed and service active handling system.I will wait a few minutes and restart. Again i about 15 minutes , I get the same messages.
What was the outcome of your issue?

Conditions for Running the DTC
• The control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly runs the program to detect an internal fault when the key is ON or the engine is running.
• Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly has detected an internal malfunction.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
• DTCs P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, and P062F are Type A DTCs.
• The TCM shifts to a default gear, shuts down, and turns OFF.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
DTCs P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, and P062F are Type A DTCs.
Diagnostic Aids
When attempting to set TCM internal DTCs let the engine run for at least 1 minute and then shut the engine off for 30 seconds. Following this procedure will allow for a complete TCM shutdown. Reprogram the TCM and retest the DTC to see if the DTC resets.
