I doubt seriously that it's a GM factory-installed alarm. Sounds like you really need to replace it.

Factory alarm has no shock sensors.

You posted about this a few months ago and will likely get the same results. Not a factory alarm.

Take it to an alarm installer and turn down the sensitivity.

Please don't back here time after time asking for our opinion of what to do about it if you're not going to at least try what we suggested.

I agree with all of the above in that this sounds like an aftermarket alarm issue.

The only thing in the back of a C6 that will activate the alarm is using the metal key to open the trunk/hatch, or prying it open.

This requires a substantial mechanical movement to set off the alarm. Check your wiring harness and switches in the rear if you still think this is related to the factory alarm.

I don't really think of the C6 system as an alarm system. The car can be backed into and the horn will not honk. A window can be smashed, contents can be taken and no horn will honk. The horn honk only happens when a locked door or trunk is opened without allowing the computer to do it. This means using the metal key on the trunk, the manual cable release on a door, or a crowbar. Valuable, yes, but not really an alarm system.

As stated, it not a factory alarm in the car. And since you did not get a remote for the aftermarket alarm, it has a passive after market alarm in the car instead.

Best guess, the after market passive (remoteless) alarm module is mounted either in the passenger foot well, or up in the driver side dash under the knee valance.

So when you find the after market alarm module to begin with, should be able to tell what brand it is, and then where the shock module sensitivity dial is on it to turn it down a touch to solve the problem with it being too sensitive instead.

Those Fobs are to activate the ignition system and tell the car it's OK for you to open the doors..It has NOTHING to do with any alarm...It will activate the horn with the 'panic button' but that's as close to an alarm as it gets. Please believe these guys when they tell you!

Being hind sight, might of wanted to check with the alarm guys what else was mounted for alarm devices. Hence may have glass break sensors, and even a ultrasonic traducer system that may need to be adjusted down as well.

Hence with glass break sensors, a trash truck can set them off if they are set too sensitive, and with a ultrasonic system in the car, if set too sensitive, a fly loose in the car is enough to set that off instead.
