Hello all. Just wondering what some of you have done to rid interior rattles. I'm very meticulous about interior rattles/noises. Mostly coming from the dash it seems. The dash doesn't appear to have ever been taken apart. My car is completely stock. Anything helps. Thanks!
Check the cluster area where the black plastic surround meets the clear plastic over the gauges. I shoved a piece of rubber in that area to stop my odd vibration noise by creating a gap.

Wow I have had my dash apart more times than I care to admit and I have zero rattles.... and this is with run flats
I just had it apart today to install my Ray Kawel aux 4 wiring and a usb glove box
And next week I am installing HUD
Something is not put together right . I can't think of anything that would cause a rattle if it's put together right
It's easy to pull the center stack and speedometer cluster to see what might be causing it
Pm me if you have questions on how to take it apart

I did essentially the same thing. Stuffed a length of rubber cord all along the small space between where the dash meets the gauge cluster. Worked like a champ...

I noticed creaks when I first purschases the 2008.
Going to non RF's and adding a thicker tunnel plate along with upgraded end links seems to have helped eliminate the more common mentioned sounds.
The front windshield cowling also vibrated, replaced.
No sounds coming from the cluster area though.
Maybe the advanced state of my hearing loss is a blessing in this regard.
Hey Boomer, how ya feeling about the big game? I'm more afraid of Clemson than Bama. Those type of teams (dual threat QB) typically give us fits. Do you ever post on LandThieves? If so, what's your ID?

I don't have a horse in this race.
A Stanford Cardinal fan here!
No I am not on the mentioned site.
What the heck brought up this question? I rarely post on college football.
My dash had some rattles, turns out it was the dash board vibrating against the windshield (around the hud). I stuck a piece of Velcro (fuzzy side) on the dash right up close so you could barely see it. Fixed that particular rattle.. so now I can move on to fixing other ones
Take a passenger and start pressing panels/ areas to find the rattle.
Notorious areas, plastic panel at base of wind shield under wipers, A pillars, mini AC fan near the start button, header panel above mirror. Door panels are also notorious for rattling. There can be many more areas that rattle.
I must be one of the lucky ones; over 90K on my '06 and no interior 'rattles' or noises so far (knock on wood). Can't say the same for some exterior noises that get my attention from time to time lol
