I've searched the forums and google trying to find a pic of a Cyber Gray C6 with the 60th anniversary cup wheels in a machined finish. I like my chrome GS wheels that I have ok, but chrome wheels on a sports car just doesn't make sense to me since chrome is inherently heavier. Before everyone responds saying that the wheels I want aren't going to weigh less than the ones that I have. I know, but to an enthusiast chrome wheels are for show only.
So, anyone have any pics of this set up or something similar?

Can you qualify that? I can't, but I'll betcha there's not more than an ounce of chrome per wheel ... they're just electroplated. Machined wheels don't have paint (but pretty sure they DO have a clear coat) and paint probably weighs about as much as the chrome ... in other words, insignificant.
Back in the early Space Shuttle days, the External Tank was painted ... for the first 4 flights. I can't remember the exact weight, but I think there was about 500 lbs of paint used that was really unnecessary, and it was weight that was carried essentially all the way to orbit ... a big hit since placing something in orbit is a very expensive proposition, per pound of payload. But I don't think the paint or chrome on wheels makes a whit of difference.
I remember when they took the chrome side moldings off of the cars and sold the idea as "streamlining". Then they raised the prices $400 with the promise of greater performance. The mfg's took their cue from PT Barnum. Prior to this new improved idea, all one had to do to get this "streamlining" was to buy the stripped down Biscayne rather than the Impala at a savings of $800.00.
You can look online for images of machine face cup wheels and you will find some images that appear to be on a cyber grey C6. Even if you don't find photos on a GS I think those wheels would be great with the CGM because the rest of the machine face wheel is black.
