Some Twilight Zone stuff here...
Drive to play golf today, play 18 holes, feeling pretty good about the state of my game starting in 2016. Go to open the trunk to store the clubs, and no joy. Pull out the remote, and nothing opens, trunk, doors, nada. Think of the GM letter yesterday and thought no wayyyy....
I already knew how to use the key, pull the release, and get the car opened up, but then thought, oh sh*&, the remote is dead and the car won't start, but start right up it did. After that, the remote operates normally. Locks, unlocks, opens the trunk, etc. Even dared to stop at Twin Peaks for a beer and lunch, no problems.
Some Twilight Zone start to 2016. Guess it's time to change the battery and hope it doesn't happen agin. Take nothing for granted.
Happy New Year to my Corvette Brothers and Sisters!

Thanks for sharing, anyhow.

And the letter was about getting out, I just thought the timing of the issue was really strange.

So you must have unlocked the door with your imagination.

I start thinking that my '08 must have some of these problems since everyone else on here is talking about them.
