Named most of my cars as a joke.
05 Pontiac Vibe was Tina (a la Bob's Burgers; fit perfectly)
04 Honda S2000 was Rhonda (R + Honda)
and now my 99 FRC C5 is Elly May (from Beverly Hillbillies - with the body of a pinup girl and the soul of a tomboy)

I guess old habits die hard (I'm old!).. Have always referred to my hot rods as "She" or "Her" since it's a love affair! Nice pair of girls on the splash page! Love the colors

When my wife and I were first married in 1968, both of our cars had names that she gave them. Fortunately she outgrew that when I went to work for a Ford subsidiary and got a new car every year furnished by FoMoCo. My Corvette is the Vette and my Mustang is the Mustang. When I bought the Mustang, a creamy yellow 1969 convertible, many years ago from an elderly lady, she dropped the keys in my hand and said "By the way, her name is Elizabeth." The car was 29 years old at that point and I have never uttered the name Elizabeth again in regard to it. They're machines folks.

Ours ... acctually now referred to as my wife's Corvette is named "Rena". My wifes sister named my wifes kidneys in a poem about my wife's life she wrote for a gathering for my wife just before surgey. My wife donated a kidney to me. I get the car on weekends and special events! Kinda gives new meaning to the old saying " Happy wife....Happy Life!
Every other Corvette or vehicle I have owned was/is named "Betsy" the same as all my dad's were. And yes. I know its a C5

I recall a similar topic on another manufacturers forum. Many people had named their cars female names and the best reply on the forum was:
"I'd give my car a girly name but it has too much ***** to be a female"
This definately applies to corvettes

Well my girl is named Eleanor. And to this point in our relationship everything we do together is never easy and she never wants to give it up easy. So yes it's just a car but at this point she's more than that to my two boys (8 and 5). And also the time I've been able to spend with my wife's dad and oldest working on her is starting to make her priceless. I guess it's just a matter of preference. But I know we all love our cars.
