I had my car in storage and it was nice today and my battery was dead so I disconnected it charge it and now my traction control says it needs service any one have this problem before and yes there was no problem before I put it away.
Your battery is likely toast if it went completely dead. The re-charging probably shorted out a few cells, thus it will not hold a charge for very long, and likely won't start the car for very long, if it does at all.
I had one go completely dead after only having the battery for 6 months, and it was toast after the recharge! I had all kinds of weird electrical codes, alarms etc.
Bought a new battery, and everything returned to normal. I now keep my battery on a tender if it's going to sit for longer than a few days, just to protect the battery from failure.
Most likely the battery is the culprit. It will do wonky things when dying.
Mine went bad recently; this time the radio went dead, the seat memory went weird, and I could not reset them. When I exited the car, the screen was lit w/ nothing (just sort of lit), and bingo: dead battery.
This car eats batteries. Buy a new one with at least a three year warranty, so when it goes bad at 2 1/2 years you can get a new one gratis.
