Default Interior storage

Since the compartments are small what do you use for getting some extra space?

The aftermarket people make all kinds of extra storage ditties for the C6, although I've never found any need for them myself.

the whole trunk area is extra space. I guess it depends on what you are wanting to carry.

The key is soft duffle-type bags.

Leave the framed-roller types to the SUVs.

And soccer moms in mini-vans.

If you have a concern about packing a coupe, you should try packing a vert for a cross country trip for two.

Well we are planning to do either a north route from Missouri to California or Route 66. We've packed for a trip to deadwood and even got 2 sets of golf clubs in there. I just need something to put sunglasses and small miscellaneous stuff in.

My wife and I have traveled by motorcycle for the last 30 years and, as a result, have learned to only take what you need and learn how to pack to make the best use of the space available.

I have to laugh when our Corvette club does a weekend run and the wives of some members pile enough into the car that they could go two weeks and never wear the same article of clothing twice while my wife and I fit everything we need into one soft sided bag I carry on a shoulder strap.

Just be careful of the height, but there are lots of options depending on how you want to secure them.

We use our coupe for long trips, sometimes two months +.

You can get a lot of small items in the two cubbies. We have a very basic tool kit, pucks, tire kit & compressor (even with runflats), spare fuses, bulbs, other small spare parts, the Ipod for our PAL music, etc.

Cargo net at the back holds a pair of North Face jackets with removable fleece liners, hats, etc.

Door pocket on my side holds the cellphone charger, wife keeps crosswords in her side.

We have the console-top pouch similar to what 1pt4brd mentioned, ours is from Mid America but probably the same size. Holds almost a box of Kleenex, sunscreen, Motrin, bandaids, etc.

GM makes overpriced-but-excellent "saddle bags" that hang behind each seat. Ours contain maps, flashlights, manuals, misc paperwork, CB radio microphone, electronic "flares", etc.

Glove box holds most of the other paperwork.

Center console has coin purse for parking meters, IPass transponder, club nametags, power connector for CB radio, traffic camera GPS, etc.

And of course the trunk itself is huge. As others mentioned, soft duffle bags make it easy to pack for long road trips. We have a trunk mat that allows us to store very thin items like thin cardboard, unframed pictures, etc; underneath it.

We are very happy with the storage now available in our C6.

That is way more stuff than Mrowc6 and I carry, even in the Vert.

We pack super light, and if we find a bulky purchase worth having, we mail it home. The last really big trip (7,000 + miles, over three weeks), we bought a 9'x12' rug, and had it shipped, along with a half-dozen pillows. If we had been willing to put the partition down, and not put the top down, there was enough room to bring the rug and the pillow forms with us, but we love traveling with the wind in my hair (Mrowc6 doesn't have any).

We brought a cooler and two pillows as well. The car holds much more than people realize.

For those who need more storage space.
Note the license plate on the trailer.

Wow! Glad to see someone else with the same trailer idea.
Mine's still a work in progress, but I'll post pics when it's done.
