If your buying a vette out of warranty highly recommend gmpp, : protection plan it does not cover everything but a lot. Do not drive cars out of warranty unless it's a Honda civic.
They are great for the cost and help overall. But I wouldn't really rely on it to give you HP by itself most of the time. It is good the stock was replaced. I would continue on spark plugs/wires, valvetrain (freshen up those springs and hardened pushrods and trunnion upgrade so your bearings don't spit out which is common on the 05-08), cold air intake and fast 92/92. And then move to an axle back exhaust and then headers/x-pipe. (if you are going by budget step by step).
