Hello all,

I figured since I've been on here since I've bought my car, I would introduce myself.

Couple weeks back, I've purchased a 05 red c6 (m6).
I know It's not a ls3, but this is what I can afford at the moment.

I've owned a H/C/I LS1 TA, a LT1 TA, and a 98 red vette in the past, but I must say that this is a new beast! I love driving this car.

So far, everything on the car is stock except for the 25% UD pulley I installed last Saturday (harmonic balancer wobble curse).

I will take modding this car pretty slowly as I do my research and save money, but I will most likely come to you guys for opinions!

Default Whats a ud pully
How much for the pully, what is it ? Power gains ? Void warranty ?

Everything I heard when researching purchase recently is that the LS2 is as rock solid as the LS3. Sounds like you will eventually have WAY MORE horsepower than either one does stock anyway. Enjoy the C6 and HANG ON!

I paid 180 for the 25% pulley.
I have no idea if the HP gain is actually upto 10hp as they advertise, but my stock harmonic balancer was wobbling and needed replaced. as for warranty, I don't think UD pulley will void it... just put in the stock part before taking it into the dealership if something big happen...

coming from an LS1, I always envied the LS2 guys except for the electric TB.

If I knew how much work the pulley would have been, I would have replaced the cam as well (stock one doesn't lope as much as I would like lol)

but yeah so far I'm loving the LS2... never drove the LS3, so its not like I'm missing much haha

The car is 10 years old. What warranty do you have?

But now that you've had it all apart once it will be a piece of cake to do it again when you do put a hot cam in it.

Dealer gave me a 2 yr warranty or until 70k.

Its a 2005. I would think the warranty is a thing of the past

I just installed a summit racing ud pulley. As for the power, you won't really feel much... I only did it because the stock balancer wobbled. As for the install... I had to take out the rack... It really sucked lol
