Hey guys i ordered a kenwood screen from double d and I already had a sub and an amp from my old truck so I'm gonna use that. Just curious as to where you guys would reccomend mounting the box and amp. I've seen people putting the amp behind the passenger seat which is fine with me, and also saw a guy with a very similar box just dead center in the center in the back between the 2 compartments I was just curious as to how he mounted it down any suggestions, tips are appreciated. Here is what I have.
Well actually I realized I didn't save the pic of mine. But that box and sub is almost identical to mine that picture I found on another thread but wasn't sure how he mounted that.
I mounted my amp behind the passenger seat. Only lost about 2 inches max of leg room. I didn't drill behind the seat because that's where the gas tank is. What I found on the forum was someone who used 2 pieces of bar stock to mount the amp.
I can take a picture of it later today when I get off work if you need a visual example.
As far as the sub and box, I think down the middle in the back works good.

Yeah man pictures would be great! And I'll have to look at that barstock idea... And the sub in the back middle any idea how to hold it down so it's not sliding around? Not sure if that pic is mounted down but I would assume so any ideas?
I think the box would stay put in normal driving. I've seen some just use strips of Velcro for that added hold. But in the case of an accident, know that box will go flying to the front.
I've seen some who buy L shaped brackets to secure the box.

Ok yeah that would work... I'm curious as to how you used bar stock for the amp... Did u put it on the seat itself or just the surface behind the seat cause the airbag is in the seat correct?

On the surface behind the seat.
All I bought was two pieces of 3' long aluminum bar stock, usually in the same aisle as the bolts and screws.
A small pack of bolts and nuts that fit the holes of the amp.
Once I got it all put together, I just bent the barstock behind the carpet on the back.
I just took some quick pictures, if you need more just let me know.
Sorry about the shity quality, my tablet camera sucks. But anyway heres my set up
No worries man pic looks good that's a good setup too I like 2 speakers better but I already have this one so I was like eh just keep it the same if I don't like the sound I'll get another speaker and new box

There is a few threads on guys using some liquid nails behind the seat ..
I just did it on my new GS and its working great ...
I pulled the carpet back to bare metal...
I used the old piece of wood I had the amp mounted on in my other car and used some liquid nails a lot of it.....
It didn't dry for a few days, but that's because I had it in a cold garage ..
Once I got it out in the sun for a day it got rock solid....
I haven't mounted the amp just yet but will here very soon...
