My '08 came without a navigation DVD. I saw some on e-bay.
Some say Cadillac on them and they say they will work in a 08 Vette. Any input on this? Also some are the standard disc and others are the up grade.
Would I need both.
When I went to use it it just said, insert disc??? It is all new to me as my 2015 GMC doesn't use a disc.

Yep u need a disc some come with two others only one
Do a search on GM navigation disk upgrade and it will take you to Gm's vendor site
Look up your corvette and it will list all the compatible cars , I think Cadillac is one but I am not 100 % sure
The newest version 10 for 2016 just came out.
Here is the versions from 2005-2013
The GM Nav DVD's listed are for the C6 Corvette, but they are also compatible for the 2005-2011 Cadillac STS, but they may need a software update.
It's best to get a NAV DVD that is for the Corvette as per the part number/version. Get the latest version possible.
If your NAV unit has not been used in a long time, the heads could be dirty, hence why you are getting insert disc. Run a DVD cleaner disk then retry your NAV DVD, and hopefully it will load up.
BTW, the disk has to stay in the Nav unit at all times while using it.

I do not think there is a disc in there as none comes out when I push the button. Thanks for your help.
