little help please....
What type of tires? Could be out of balance if vibrating.
In my experience with the C6, as the OEM GY tires get anywhere less than 1/2 thread, they really start to increase in road noise, howling, whatever you want to call it. If they are near the wear marks, I could totally see that this could be the case. It could be a broken belt as well.
If you feel vibration in the seat, it's caused by the rear wheels out of balance, and if the vibration resonates in the steering wheel, it's the front tires out of balance.
Basically, if your tires are at the wear marks, then they are in need of changing, and that in itself will likely make your issues go away.
I never leave my tires go below 3/32" because of the road trips that we take, and the dangerous aspects of a worn tire in wet weather, which is hard to avoid during 2 week trips.

I agree... they are low but have good rubber left. I wouldn't ask if it wasn't so violent. at first i'm like,... I need some tires soon but in just some short driving time it has gotten REALLY bad so I ask my C6 brothers for some input.
When the tires were removed from the car I was shocked to find out how extremely worn the inside of the tires were. So I replaced them immediately.

I experienced a bad vibration early in a 5000 mile road trip, so I stopped in a tire store in Tulsa,OK, and they discovered a bent front wheel causing the imbalance. They balanced it, and I was able to finish the tip OK. I replaced the wheel after I got home.
I don't know how the wheel got bent, I don't remember hitting a curb or pothole, but it was visibly bent.
