Can anyone tell me if this z06 is a 1lz or 2lz? Trying to find out if it has Bose audio or not. Thanks!

That is a VIN for a model year 2008 C6. The option package code was not put in the VIN until model year 2010.

Someone would have to have access to the GMVIS to look that up for you in order to be able to answer your question. There are some folks here who can do that. I cannot.

I would say it doesn't have bose as it has an aftermarket head unit I don't see any embloms on the door speakers

I was looking at the same picture but it looks like the shifter is blocking where the little emblem might be so can't really tell. It's right in that same area

 

According to the Corvette Black Book for 2008, since it has the seat heaters as an option, that means that it is a 2LZ. The standard audio was US9-6 CD radio. The pictures show side air bags, which is another 2LZ feature.
As mentioned, it has an aftermarket unit, so it most likely didn't have the OEM NAV with BOSE.
You can try www.Compnine.com. They usually give you one free try at their Vin decoder for free, and it will show all the options.
The C6 BOSE system isn't all that great in a C6 anyway, likely affected by cabin noise.

Thanks! I thought all 2lz's featured Bose? Do you happen to know what it takes to convert to factory Bose from a base model? I was happy with my 08 Bose in my ls3 car. Sounded good to me and I don't like aftermarket systems / sub boxes

 

I have BOSE, and it's Ok, but doesn't sound as good as a BOSE in a comfort car like a Caddy, and I attribute that to the extra interior insulation and quieter exhaust system.
I looked at the difference in the color coded schematics between a BOSE and Non Bose, but for sure a BOSE AMP is needed with the added noise reduction microphone. BOSE speakers may also be needed.

I agree 100%. When I was in mine sitting on the parking lot the sound was good but driving down the road the road and wind noise just took over and it didn't sound as good. Was the wiring different or are all the plugs the same? Hoping I just have to install and amp and Bose speakers. I don't even know where the Amps are in Bose cars. Didn't get a chance to check that vin decode yet but looks like someone posted the results

I'm definitely interested. What are you thinking price wise? I'll also be going to the Abel show and hope to have a z06 by then. Went by Abel Chevrolet today and man, they had so many nice vettes outside. There was about 3-4 zr1's, quite a few c6 z06s and a few c7 z06s. I was in heaven haha. I'm actually going to Abel today. Won't have my car with me. I'll be picking up that black z06 that's set up for the track you may have seen there. Richie is a great friend of mine. Actually I'm Crashing at his house tonight b4 we head over to thunderhill Saturday.

As for a price. I'm. It sure just yet I'll do research and see what set up are going for.

And the amp is in the passenger foot well under the dash. Next to the fuse box.

 

Not sure if I saw yours but there was quite a few vettes there so I may have over looked yours. Is yours the one with black plates and center exhaust with that big defuser? I've seen that one a lot there
