Default Which exhaust?

I am a newby and have purchased a 06 with the Z06 package. I'm looking for a new exhaust and am looking for input from everyone. It seems that the Corsa is the choice for most but I would like to hear everyones input. I know that boils down to personal preference. I am looking for a more deep throaty sound.

I put Corsa Sports on mine and I think it has everything I was looking for. Do a forum search and you'll fine at least 1,000 discussions on the subject.

B & B Fusions. Valves open...loud, valves closed...quiet. Best of both worlds. And looks great too.

I decided to go with B&B Bullets. I like the "muscle car" sound that it makes. I currently have Corsa but it has a rattle in the can so I am changing it up a little bit.

I went with the Borla S-Type- very aggressive on acceleration but pretty tame driving through the neighborhood. Does have some drone on the highway, but I don't mind it is a good trade off.

Bought 2010 GS that previous owner had installed Akrapovic---really sweet with the larger carbon fiber tips.

Dual mode exhausts like OEM bi-modal/NPP, B&B Fusions and Akro's are the best solution IMHO.

Quiet enough to carry or conversation or long highway crusing or flip a switch and open the valve for maximum noise.

I've run both factory NPP's and B&B Fusions.

I like the Corsa Sports as well, but as always each to their own.

i am in the same boat as you OP, i was trying to decide which exhaust.... corsa or the atak. the shop (21st century muscle cars) that did my heads and headers said to leave the factory npp, they said flow wise it is comparable to any aftermarket and with the m2w switch you can quite it down if on long drives.

i am still up in the air

Wow. So many options. I will take a video of before and after. It'll be about a week. So be patient.

Man I love the sound of my B&B Bullets. Some drone on highway driving but most of my driving is local. Love it when I punch the throttle.

Absolutely I love the NPP all day long...I have the mild-2-wild switch and it is everything I want or need. When I go under a highway overpass and go wide open I still cannot believe how ridiculously insane the car sounds. Yes it is loud but again the car's exhaust note could best be described as like an F1 car for my setup. Many people have remarked the same. When I enter my neighborhood (and I am the HOA president for my community) I close the gates and the car sounds as quiet as any other car out there. On a cold start with valves open you can hear the cam start to march around 25-30 seconds...awesome.

up front:
K&N CAI, P/P TB and gutted IM, Formato tune, shroud mod, NGK plugs plus braking and suspension mods

Not a fair comparison, but I have Corsas on my C5 LS1. Sound great and absolutely no drone. On my C6 Z06 I have B&B Fusions. Also sound great and got to keep the dual mode exhaust. I wouldn't say they are totally drone free, but what little there is is very tolerable, at least for me.
