I'm hoping to be not too far behind you. I'm still trying to make my mind up if I'm ready or not.
I know what you mean. It was the second hardest decision I ever had to make. I have a problem with not being able to turn it off and so after 10 hours a day I would go home and answer e-mail for an hour or so. Drove my wife crazy. I changed my mind about 3 time during the last year but I am at peace with it now. I think you just know when the time is right. At least that's what I keep telling myself......

Congratulations on your retirement. I was fortunate to be able to retire fifteen years ago when I was 54. Never looked back, only ahead. I spend my time between Key Biscayne and Ocean City, NJ. This will be the best time of your Life.
I retired twice, both times it took 2 months to get past the lost feeling of a schedule and missing your fellow employees. Second time was helping out a friend. I have kept a vette almost always since college and always enjoyed them. I traded my 72 big block convertible after the wife and I took a long road trip for a 2013 427 with 800 miles on it. We decided nostalgia for the C3s wasn't as important as the creature comforts, ride and fuel economy while on 4000 mile road trips. One of our goals is to wear it out taking our time enjoying this great country. I hope to see you on the road somewhere. Congrats and Save the wave!!!
