Default Weird memory seat problem, please help!!!

Hello I have a 2005 Corvette, I have the memory seats programmed as the manual said and they were working fine. I programmed "1" for me and "2" for reverse (it brings the mirrors down to look at the tires when reverse). What I am getting is, that when I turn on the car, it's getting by default setting "2". It had always started on setting "1", what is wrong with it???? Any ideas??

Thanks

It goes by which fob you are using. If you use fob one it will go to the #1 settings. If you use fob 2 it will go to the #2 settings. As far as I know there is no way to have the mirrors change position when you shift to reverse. I guess you are pushing the #2 button on the door every time you put it in reverse?

I would agree with this almost 100% of the time except I only use Fob#1 in my car and roughly 1 in 5 times I get in my car the seat just seems to go where ever it feels like. Sometimes it goes so far forward I think it's trying to kill me (I'm 6'4") but most of the time it works A-OK. I spent weeks trying to figure out the rhyme or reason like if I adjust my seat while driving or resetting my seat memory and even pulling the battery out. I'm just getting use to my seat kinda doing it's thing. Personally I think it has something to do with the wiring harness under my seat as it's a little chewed up from the seat action before i bought it. I've since done the zip tie fix and have an appointment scheduled with the dealer for the recall.

Yes, that is what I do, I push "2" when in reverse.

You know what's strange. We only use the one FOB, at the moment #2 is broken. My Husband and I have set our settings on #1 for me and #2 for him.. every time I get in my car it goes to settings #1 the strange thing is since Husband uses the same FOB the car will adjust to the number 2 settings when he is going to drive it.

Is that suppose to happen? How does that happen?

Pushing the #2 button on the door will override the automatic setting. So if you use fob 1 set for you then pushing #2 on the door will switch to fob 2 settings.

Yes, but if I use FOB 1 then the car should start with the setting in 1 right?

You have to push the # button to move the seats & mirrors, right? Otherwise, they never move. The radio settings will automatically change with the fob. The downside to pushing #2 to move the mirrors is the radio will change to #2 setting which is annoying when listening to a news story.

Had the same problem with the seat moving by itself. The problem is that the module under the driver seat tends to get distorted whenever you sit on the seat or adjust your position. To correct the problem simply take the control box loose from the seat springs, rotate it 180 degrees, and let it lay on the floor. Just make sure that it is behind the power seat motor.

There are two clips on the front and one on each side which fasten over the seat springs. The second pic shows what had happened to mine. It still works perfectly now.
