I only have 10700 miles on my 2013 as mine is not my DD.
Am taking it on a 600 mile trip this weekend. The first this year.

Bought our 13 GS MZ6 convertible new on January 2nd, 2014. It has 32,000 miles on it now. It will have 36,000 before the end of the year. Averaging 12,000 miles a year and it is not our DD.

We have had our "07 for about 2-1/2 years now and have put a little over 31,000 miles on it, for a total of 67,000. I drive it at least every weekend and all year round unless there is snow and ice on the roads. It's been an absolutely fantastic car. My wife and I'll be retiring in about 2 years and we plan on doing the next Corvette Caravan and we want to do the Route 66 experience. Looking forward to lots of traveling with it. Puts a smile on my face every time I get in it. I plan on keeping it till I'm looking up at the grass. Then my youngest daughter has "dibs" on it........

It's been 1 year since the day I bought my vette, on 8/28/15

Bought it with close to 49k miles, already put on close to 12k miles.
I'm sitting at approximately 61k right now.
Already done one oil change, fixing to do my next as soon as the DIC marks 15%.

We've had a lot of deaths in our family this year and I've decided I'm not going to let the pleasure of driving my car pass with each day. I'm driving it almost daily this summer. I'll have to garage it for most of the winter, but it will be on the road weather permitting.

My '11 has 8,200. I'm just getting started. What's the mileage on your Vette?

Keith
Keith you nailed it. My dad passed 30 years ago at the age of 60. He was a good guy and lived a good life. Im 57 and heathy....but you never know when your numbers up.

I own a 3/4 of a million dollar house I paid off a decade ago. I put away over 7 figures. I'll be dammed if I miss the enjoyment of driving a corvette everyday just so I can give the next owner a lower mileage car...all for a few grand....or maybe ten...who cares.

I have a severely autistic 20 year old son who in his kindness showed me....nothing we own is worth more than the experiences we can derive from them.

This is my third new corvette and while it's only a 2008 c6 z51 m6 with npp it has been utterly reliable and a joy to own.

When the time or the mood strikes I'll buy a new one...but for now...summer winter spring or fall, sun ,rain or snow...I'm enjoying this car..

I've presently have 101k miles on it. This car still looks brand new. I get nods, smiles and thumbs up all the time. I enjoy every mountain pass, every trip, every drive to the supermarket etc...

Go for it...have fun. Put a smile on your face everyday. There is absolutely no reason not to enjoy life ...

I laugh as I say the first fifty years on this earth was spent making money....the second fifty is for spending it.

Live well and enjoy

JB

Btw repairs since day one....

Water pump at around 98k miles....radiator had a small crack at 78k miles and replaced...had the belt changed too..at the same time.

I did brakes shocks spark plugs and wires at around 50k miles just because I was bored.

I have the tech flush the clutch fluid every two years...I change the oil every time the DIC says too..I buy tires about every 18k miles...I buy a new 42 month delco battery every 28 months or so....they give me a new one for free every other time I need one...I think it's the m2w switch or just one of the things these c6 s need...I don't trickle charge it because I use it everyday and I don't want my son to trip over a charger wire in the two car garage...which he would...I know him...lol

I just threw 19/20 inch c7 z51 black rims on the car a few months ago..(with Michelin non run flats ) and I have a second set of rims and snow tires in grey....

Only mods are a COW booster throttle remapping which is great. I had chuck throw a PCM tune in last year as well. I put bilsteins sports in ....the 19/20 inch rims from a c7, I accidentally blew off one glass top...my fault...I put in the DSV d shaped steering wheel and a few leather touch point pieces In matching black.
I have a MGW shifter and some new lloyds mats every few years..just a great everyday driver. I guess I drive about 12k miles a year. Picked it up from kerbeck in nov of 2007 for about ten percent off msrp. Once in awhile I miss my c5 z06 with 500 hp but the key to longevity in my opinion is keeping it very mildly modded...this car is so utterly reliable I can't bring myself to sell it and it looks dam good to...

Zero to sixty in 4 flat, top speed 190 mph, 1.0 lateral cornering g's...roof off motoring all summer long...I think I get 16 city and 26 or so on the highway..

I went to local corvette club meeting last month as a guest...the guys couldn't believe the car wasn't resprayed...because it looks brand new..

I wash and quick wax it every week of the year...(it's black) and twice a year I whip out the griots orbital polisher and some Adams wax products to do it up..

I garage it and take good care of this car...

101k miles since new...

Also the creaky top was fixed with three thin small pieces of industrial black Velcro on the contact patch of each of the latches...

Never heard or seen another creak from that top and you can't even tell its there...

GM validates these cars for three hundred thousand miles....ill probably sell this one half the way there. I don't expect to get much in resale but who ever gets my corvette will be one lucky SOB

Purchased my 2012 2LT AW base in April of 2014 with 23,700 miles. It now has over 70k, so that's 47k in 28 months or a little over 1,600 miles per month average.

It is my daily driver and has had the Service Active Handling issue that cost me a few parts , but since minor repairs have been made I have had no issues with the AH or any other problems.

Bought my 07 two years ago with less then 10,000 miles on it. It's my daily driver and I drive a lot. Have over 83,000 miles on it now and love every minute of it. Bought it to drive it and I intend to keep racking up the miles!

"GM validates these cars for three hundred thousand miles"

Validates? GM certainly doesn't warranty them for that mileage so what exactly does this mean?

I bought my '09 a year ago April 3 with 25,952 miles on the clock. I use it as my DD, but I'm retired and don't pile on the miles like I used to. Both of my kids live about 100 miles away, so my Vette sees lots of highway time when I go to see my grandbabies. My present mileage is 37,222, which is an annual rate of about 8,000 miles. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last December, so I'm intending to drive the Vette for as long as can. So far so good. It was on my bucket list anyway.

BTW, I had 141,000 miles on my '00 LS1 Camaro and I had two mechanics tell me that the LS engines are good for 250,000 before they need attention. I know my LS1 was still pretty peppy with that many miles on it and I had no qualms about selling it to an excited young guy. The car had never had any problems and still pulled like a wild thing when you mashed the skinny pedal.

Got mine back in June-drive it every chance I get. Had 20,7xx at time of purchase, currently sitting at 22,9xx. I have three children and now that school is back in session I typically only get the opportunity on weekends. Most recent road trip was with the wife last week for my birthday to Bowling Green so my car could see where it was born-(the tour of the plant is amazing, btw.) I absolutely LOVE this car-by far and above the most amazing vehicle I've ever owned. welker-keep up the good fight. Lost my mother in law (one of the most amazing people I've ever known) to s4 met breast cancer..**** is the devil.

Our cars came with a 5 year 100k drivetrain warranty and gm documents what would or could break for 300k miles....so GM techs have information on issues that might crop up for cars driven 300k miles.

GM offered the 5 year 100k miles so gm validated them for 300k to discover information for gm techs to more successfully and properly diagnose owner issues.

I've run 101 k miles on my 08 z51 m6 and it's been remarkable on how reliable it's been. This is my third new corvette.

Just a great ownership experience. I've consodered a few new Porsches over the years but the seamless ownership experience makes German car ownership a non starter.

I have on order or whatever you call it a tesla model 3. I figure awd and ludicricious mode for around sixty grand...

I'll probably keep my wife's awd 300 hp fe2 Cadillac for city driving......just because it's resale with 60 k miles is so ridiculous and that car has been just as reliable....

The only repair so far has been a water pump a few months ago that was weeping...gm makes among the most dependable and inexpensive to run vehicles....I have a handicapped 20 year old that requires 24/7 supervision and a 84 year old Alzheimer's mom so a four seater once in awhile would come in handy...maybe I won't need it but I'll keep it an extra year at the very least. Nice car that again still looks brand new

The bolt is so ugly i just can't buy one....and the tesla 3 is dam sexy looking...

I don't expect gm dependability with the little tesla 3 but again....the model 3 reminds me of a four door Aston Martin....and makes my wife happy...

After that I'll probably roll into a new z06 for myself....if not a c8

Hope the info on a 101k c6 and it's remarkable rating gives insight to use the corvette as much as you like

07 base coupe A6 with 114,900 on it.
I've put on 9,000+ of those miles in the last 3 months.

Hello to all,

I really enjoyed these posts - especially JerriVette's. I'm not sure what is meant by GM "validating" the car for 300k miles. Does that mean I'm irresponsible if I drive it past that?
