Default color question

I would like to know what is the brightest red color that came on any C6 and what years was it available? I saw a couple at Ocean City last week and would like to know what color it is called.

Depends on what you consider bright red.
My car (see my avatar) is Monterey Red

The two brightest reds for C6 are Victory Red and Torch Red. The VR is slightly bluer and the TR is brighter with a slightly more orange cast.

I mean the brightest and most vivid red, not a deep red or off red, from the picture you show I would probably say it is victory red. What years was victory red available?

No, Torch Red was not available for model year 2005. One 2005 Torch Red car was built, but it was not available for anyone to buy.

Torch Red is the brightest of all the Corvette reds.

Yes I forget that they just did the one in 2005. Cannot remember the reason for it, but it had the paint code 27 which was for Precision Red.

Whether its Torch or Victory, they are still the best color for a Corvette, after black of course !!!!

My C5 was Torch Red and it looked great, but my C6 (2007) is Monterey Red Metallic and I get a lot more compliments with it then I ever got with the TR car. On a Corvette any red looks good as the old saying goes "All Corvette's are RED the Rest are Mistakes".

I have magnetic red, I think it looks the best at night under lights. I love Precision Red too, you don't see too many in that shade either.

All like them all.

Torch is brighter but more orange than Victory, which is not as bright but a more true red.

I have to disagree. When you have a car with Victory Red, parked next to a car with Torch Red, the Torch Red looks like it has more orange in it. Victory Red is more of a Fire Engine Red.
