Default Navigation install to base?

Is there anything else needed besides the nav unit to install into a base model car? I have an 07 base and want to find a used nav unit and put in my car.

Where is that located on the car? And how hard is it to tie in with everything else?

After you install the NAV radio you have to take the car to the dealership and pay them to program the car computer to recognize the Nav radio.

Don't forget you need to install a VSS wire or the navigation will never start because it has no idea thAt the car has started to move
Look up Ray Kawel , he has a great write-up on installing the NAV unit and you can purchase the VSS wire from him
Installing the unit is plug and play , installing the VSS wire takes about 20 mins , then to the Dealer or someone with a TECH II to remove the Vin from the radio

Most likely because they don't know how to use it properly.

Spelling Police- it's Kawal.

We've used the factory nav for over 140k miles over most of the USA and Canada. We like it especially because it gives turn arrows/distances on the HUD. If you don't care about the HUD, there are probably better values available.

I didn't know GM had its own navy. Which assembly plant are they building the ships in?
