Default Tpms help!!

I have a 06 Z06. Just bought 4 new tpms sensors from a vendor on here. Trying to get them to relearn with tpms tools and numerous different scan tools. For one the fobs don't make the born beep when pressing both buttons. And two when you get into it with a scanner it says conditions are not correct for relearn
What's going on here?

Are you sure you got the correct version of sensors? There are different ones for different years.

Verify the sensor part number on your receipt is 25758220.

The procedure is:
1. Put the starter switch in the ACCY position.
2. Using a scan tool, initiate the learn mode and it'll make the horn chirp.
3. Starting with the LF, hold the tool's antenna against the tire sidewall close to the valve stem and press the activate button to get a horn chirp.
4. Repeat on the RF, RR, and LR in that order.
5. After the LR is learned, a double chirp verifies you're done.
6. Turn the starter switch to the OFF position to exit the learn mode.

The two-button push on the fob, doesn't relate to your car.

The problem is it won't go into learn mode. Says the conditions are not correct
Whatever that means

I could mean you have the wrong sensors. Did you check the receipt for the part number?

If the TPMS are correct for the car............

Is the fob you are using programmed as a #1/2 or a #3/4? Not 100% sure if this matters or not.

Are you sure you are getting the car into ACC mode?

The only other thing that comes to mind is the tpm reset tool. Try at a Discount Tire store that may have a different tool and a guy with a lot of experience.

Of course, I'm assuming the old sensors still worked and you just changed them now because of the age concern. And that you drove at least a couple miles at more than 20 MPH to wake up the sensors for the first time.
BTW, if you still have the old sensors, try to relearn one. You don't need it in a tire to do it either. It'd be a way to check if the tool is working properly.

I don't understand what device is saying that the conditions are not right for relearn. A code scanner is not part of the process. The car must be in ACC mode before you hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob. I would check the two buttons separately and make sure each is working. Then I would try the other fob too. TPMS sensors should always be checked for proper operation before going through the process of putting them inside tires...installing a bad sensor means paying for another install if it is bad.

IIRC holding down fob buttons only applies to the 2010 and newer cars, since they have different sensors. I think the learn process on those cars can be done by changing tire pressure more than 5-10 psi.

The service manual instructions I posted is for an '08 and the same sensors as the OP's car.

I was under the impression that getting the car into the program mode was the same for all C6 cars...that is to put the car in ACC mode and then hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the fob until the horn honks. From there, you either lower the air pressure in each tire or excite each tire sensor with a TPMS tool, depending on the year. This is the way it works on my '07 Vert. Other's can chime in if it is different for some other year.

It's the same for all years. ACC mode, hold both fob buttons for at least 5 seconds.
OP, are you sure your horn is working?

That's where I was. Pretty sure I got it figured out. They was pushing the button into run.(up) Instead of down into account mode. Got that figured out so they can try again

Well all I can say is what I posted from the '08 service manual and my experience. Many years ago, while I still had the OEM GY's, I had disabled the fob buttons. I've had sensors relearned several times since then without need to enable the buttons again.

So do you mean on your car you could relearn the sensors solely by adjusting the tire pressure in the correct order? i.e. no tool needed?
