airbag light

I have a 2007 convertible C6. Tonight the airbag light (in the lower right corner of the instrument panel) came on, then went off, the came on..off..on..... off. It was not blinking, but on for 3-4 minutes then off... Anyone know what the problem is, and how to Fix?

If you move the seat fore and aft often, then it is likely a connector issue under the seat. Sometimes the connectors get damaged...sometimes wires get chaffed...it's just that there is not much room for the wires to move freely under there. After getting it fixed, it's best to not move the seat.

If you never move the seat, then it's something else. Also, all airbag connectors are always bright yellow.

I see it might be a connection under the drivers seat that might have come loose... will lok at it in the morning

Don't mess with airbag (yellow) connectors until disconnecting the battery and then waiting for a few minutes.

....and use a couple small zip-ties in a crossing pattern over the connector to hold it tightly together.

Your best bet is probably to just take it to the dealer and have them perform the free repair.

I found that the connector was a little loose and laying on the floor under the seat. I pushed the connector together and secured it up and off the floor. Took it for a test ride and no light!!! I checked the passager side to... all good so far.
