I have a 2008 Corvette Coupe with the upgraded NPP exhaust system. It usually does not open until around 3,000 RPM but lately has been opening and remaining open at various times regardless of RPM. This will last either the entire drive or at some point will return to normal operation. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. What could be causing this and what do I do to correct it?
Either a DIY fix or a dealer can do it, although dealer labor rates stink.
If this isn't something you're comfortable doing and want to avoid being gouged, hopefully there's one or more local independent HP shops familiar w/ C6 & NPP who'll replace this solenoid at a reasonable cost.
Not really a big deal in the world of C6 repairs, solenoids go bad so it's posted often enough. G/L.
I believe you need to check three items. the vacuum lines first for any damage, not holding vacuum. Then the exhaust tail pipe flow vacuum solenoid, then the exhaust tail pipe flow control module. Do an advanced search and their will be a bunch of threads on this subject.

Thank you. Will try to find more info on how to check these out.
