Default Column Lock ByPass

Hi Everyone, I have a 2005 6 speed with the problem many folks out there have experienced; no start. Disconnect the negative battery cable, reconnect it and the car starts. I've found that with my car, if the column is locked the car will start. If the column isn't locked no start but I turn the steering wheel and the column locks the car starts. So I'm convinced the column lock is the issue. I would like some information on the By Pass module available to correct this. Does it work? I'd hate to install this thing and still have the problem.

Any information would be greatly appreciated..... Thanks Very Much

On mine (2005 Z51 Vert) I had the same issue and it was the BCM. To be safe I installed the bypass module and have not had an issue since (over a year now) and it's my daily driver.

I put one on my 05 M6 about two years ago and have not had the problem since. Make sure that you get the one from KNR05(?) on ebay. google it and you will find a lot of info and also a video on installing it.
