Theft isn't really an issue. There is a special screw (torque/hex) that holds the plate on and the Firmware is user (account) specific.

Even though it sounds simple, I'm wondering how you get it to come on. Do you have to go into the app on your phone? And is there a delay to getting it up on your screen? I am skeptical about how practical products like this are.

Yes - You view the camera via an App on your phone. I have my phone dash mounted with a ProClip so I always have it available. The app is pretty fast. Hit the app and your backup image is visible.

The Pearl Auto camera shuts itself off when you exceed 10 mph. You will have to wait until the next stop light to take a picture of the car behind you.

I installed one on my car a couple of months ago. I am very happy with the unit. Reverse Logic just became an authorized reseller and we will have the RearVision product available for sale shortly. We will be demonstrating the set up at the Spring Carlisle Car Show in a few weeks.

Pearl Auto will replace the frame if it is stolen. Whoever steals it won't be able to use the unit without the device that plugs into the OBD2 port which is mated to the frame.

Being the only driver of my car I adjusted the #2 position to move the seat up and in, the side view mirrors down and in. One click up on the E-brake handle allows the switch to #2. I can see both parking space lines clearly in the mirrors from that position (even back to the curb).

Spent the $400 on Shell V-Power® NiTRO+ PREMIUM GASOLINE.

Having surgeries 3 times on both shoulders I've problems looking over my shoulders The Pearl Frame camera has become extremely handy, I Do NOT regret a cent spent on the camera. Easy to mount and easier to have it running on your smartphone.

Default Pearl RearVision is theft resistant

Thanks for the assist, Fred@ReverseLogic and SullysRants. Magik, Pearl Auto here. We appreciate your concern and have thoughtfully designed RearVision to deter theft in a number of exclusive ways. First, the Camera Frame is electronically paired with its companion Car Adapter at the factory, so they will not work independently of each other. Second, when you set up the Pearl App for the first time, your phone is uniquely paired with your RearVision. You can easily share your RearVision credentials with other drivers (such as your family or friends), but to anyone without these credentials, your RearVision will be completely non-functional and useless. Third, we've designed and included a special Locking Tool that secures your RearVision via a built-in security screw. Your RearVision can only be removed from your car with the Locking Tool, so be sure to keep it somewhere safe. Lastly, we are so confident in the security features we built into RearVision, we don’t think theft will be an issue. Should your Camera Frame be stolen, please contact us to make arrangements for a replacement, at no charge to you. Feel free to reach out with further questions - we're here and happy to help.
