Been looking for a fun weekend vert since I sold my 72 Cutlass (tired of the maint). I had never really considered vettes since my only experience was with c3's which I found too rough. Drove a bunch of imports but they were boring. I finally tried a manual C6 - I was blown away!
In the ATL area. Found a 07 with 25k, power top , nav, not z51. I got the dealer down to 30K but he won't go lower. Is this a decent value?
I get the feeling this will be my entry vette so resale is on my mind

I picked up an 08 LS3 3LT with a targa top wirh 42k on the clock for 25K. If want a few more bells & whistles like bluetooth then get a 09 or later. But, that will cost you more.

That price is high for a 07, but not way out of line... the car would have to be almost perfect for $30k

I'd except a 3LT Z51 in absolutely perfect condition for that price. You might even be able to buy a 2007 Z06 at that range. Keep looking man.

It seems perfect. Nothing I can find
I've found coupes with manuals and verts with auto for $25 or less. Happens a manual vert is what I want

That's a little high dealers are going to be 3-4k more than private party that's a 25-26k car private party. Just be patient and ready to hop on a plane or long drive with cash in hand or down payment. Ive bought and sold 3 vettes here in the last 5 years and always gotten great cars for good prices. I had a 71 442 that I sold 5 years ago and got into vettes. I then bought a 07 Zo6. Got my 07 coupe last year original owner 40 k miles, supercharger, headers, all kinds of goodies for 24k . Next couple month's is perfect time to buy its as cheap as you will see them. Also be aware of loans most places wont loan you that kind of money on a 9 year old car unless the dealer is doing it. Go to carguru.com to see prices and how long they have been sitting on lot. Also corvetteDNA is a cool pricing app for your iphone.

I don't think $30k is totally out of line if it is perfect, one-owner, and has maintenance records. Looking at other listings, $27k is probably the right price though.

Don't get hooked on that 2007. I shopped for a long time and found an 08 w/ 12k miles the clock & got it for $29.9 k. Happy hunting.

I found a 28k mi. 2006 Z51 and got it for $25k. Most all comparable I was looking at hovered around $30k.

There are definitely way better deals out there... Got my '08 with 30k miles on it with NPP exhaust and z51 package for $27k.

I would definitely look around.

Considering that, if you look around, you can pick up a 2010-2012 with 35K miles for $29K, that seems way high.

Don't forget that Verts go for about $ 5K more than coupes, so include that in any comparison of deals.

Here's a piece of advice, on this or any other C6 take VIN to any GM dealer & ask for a GMVIS. Read about the car's history while covered under original B2B and/or subsequent dealer visits. *avoid any repeat dealer visits for same issue. Unresolved issue(s) = potential "Lemon".

GMVIS + Carfax provide a fairly accurate picture before $ exchanges hands and before any glitter/promises cloud judgement. Easy to do when Corvette shopping.

The OP is talking about a convertible NOT a coupe! That adds about 5k to a coupes price.

I'm not sure that a vert is $5k more than a coupe. A little more maybe.

I bought my 05 vert about two and a half years ago for $18.5k. It's fully optioned with HUD and NAV. High mileage but with no defects at all.

Seems like all i've been hearing for the past year or so in this forum is how the value of our beloved C-6's is going up, or will be soon, esp. the GLORIOUS GS. But it seems that most of the price quotes in this thread seem to be shooting that philosophy down.....
