Where is everyone sending their calipers for powder coating. I contacted mike but he said he's no longer accepting new customers Or where so you get new boots and seals so I can drop it off locally.

TPSMak is who I plan on going through when I'm ready for that stage of my car's facelift.

Just as an FYI for everyone about F55 heavy duty brake package.

I have a base 2009, so I ordered calipers and brackets from TPS Motorsports to do the core exchange. They showed up and looked great. Brought the car, calipers and brackets to my local shop as I'm not into working in the cold.

Come to find out the brackets sent were wrong ( my error ). Called TPS and spoke with Mike and determined I needed the Z51 brackets even though the car is not a z51. If you have the F55 brake package, you need the Z51 brackets. Makes sense, but was clear as mud prior to knowing this. Anyway, TPS should be sending me the correct brackets shortly and look forward to getting them on the car. Prior to ordering, make sure you check if you have the F55 code and order the correct package to avoid a headache.

Since you live in Indy there must be several powder coaters in the metro area. What you can do is remove the seals and pistons from the calipers and take them to local powder coat shop. You must instruct them not to coat the piston seal area which simple tape off procedure (they have a special tape). Then take the finished calipers to a trusted shop or dealer and have new seals installed. The shipping costs for calipers can be substantial due to the weight. It would be better for you to have them done locally if possible.

That's probably what I'm going to do but I would like to rebuild them myself. I'm struggling finding the seals and boots for a z06

TPS..send them yours to have coated, and have down time, or buy coated and send them yours for refund.

He rebuilds them before coating.

TPS Motorsports, Mike did mine in Arctic White. I have a AW Vert and they look great. I do not track my car so white will not yellow from heat.

Thanks for the replys. I'm seriously considering TPS. The local quotes have been 450+ and that does NOT include a rebuild

What are you being quoted from an out of state vendor including the rebuild? Be sure to include shipping both ways with the quote.

TPS ships for free. $359 for rebuilt coated calipers.

Understand that the buyer will have to pay shipping when he sends his original parts in, if he takes this course of action.
