Default 2005 LS2 pushrod question

Hi guys, i have a question.
I have 1 or 2 bent pushrods on one bank, is it possible to change out just the bent ones or even the whole drivers side bank without it compomising or putting any kind of strain on the other bank i.e a harmonic balance of new and old components?
Cheers.

Hello, it's possible to pull the bent push rods and replace with new but I would investigate why. You could have an issue with a lifter/s, cam, valve springs and or rockers. Another thing to consider is the mileage of your car when replacing parts.

My question is .... How do you know for certain that you have '1 or 2' bent pushrods?

BTW ... Pulling out the pushrods is not difficult at all.

Keep them in the order you pulled them out of the engine. Best way to tell if they are bent is to roll them on a sheet of glass.

Yes, you can remove only the pushrods from one side of the engine. Also, removing pushrods has nothing to do with your harmonic balancer.

From your question, I am thinking you might want someone who has done this before do the work for you.

Again ... Why do you think 1 or 2 of your pushrods are bent?

.

I agree with the above...just the bent ones can be replaced....but...my first question would be 'why are they bent?' It's just like a blown fuse...you can replace it easily but you need to find out why it blew. Bent pushrods are not usually something that just happens. The vast majority of pushrods are fine all the way until the car is disassembled in a junkyard. There's nothing unusual about LS pushrods...they are just like those in a million pickup trucks out there.
