I have the NPP exhaust on my 2008 base vert, but am not happy with the sound, nor with the constant need to clean the inner exhaust tips. The system I would really like to have is the Corsa Sports, which I'm more than willing to buy new if need be, but was wondering if maybe a trade of my factory NPP system (38k miles on them) for a set of Corsas straight across would be a feasible trade? TIA
Opinions? Fair trade or no?

Fair trade. It's not really about value any more, but about what you want. i see a lot of folks in the C3, C4, C5 and C6 communities swapping exhausts around until they find the sound they want. I recently swapped my BB Bullets for Corsa Sports. Yes, there was a price difference, but who can say what that really was? We swapped straight across. Both were happy. Put it out there, you'll find someone to trade.
It depends on rpm and how heavy the throttle. The Mild to Wild that keeps the valves open on the NPP adds noise but it's not a deep base sound. Headers with NPP closed sounds stock, headers with NPP open is a little louder but it's not a deep sound like some other mufflers.
If you want deep base sound change the exhaust from the NPP mufflers.
I have a big cam, headers and NPP. My car is fairly quiet with NPP closed, which is good because my neighbors don't like it. At WOT it has a harsh nasty sound that can be addictive.

It's the best of both worlds , quiet when you want loud with the push of a button
As stated above with the flaps closed it is a little louder than stock but with them open it sounds amazing
This is the route that I chose as so many people did not like the mufflers they chose, they either said it was not much louder than stock , or they had drone , then others said they had the same mufflers and they did not have drone
Sound is such a subjective thing , and with mufflers , just like tires , once you buy them and you find out you don't like them , what do u do ???
