Pioneer AVH 4200NEX VS 5800

I'm looking at the 5800 and 4200 pioneer nex
they seem good for the price
has anyone had these and if so are they a good buy ? On amazon the 4200 is $467 and 5800 is $280

This works fine. You'll need an aux jack. My '08 base has one. Got this for $10. keeps the car completely stock too.

It depends on what features you are looking for. The 4200 has apple CarPlay and android auto and a few more bells and whistles. You can look on YouTube for some reviews on each model to help you out.

I am also looking to replace the factory radio but wanted to know if the HUD guage information display works normally with the factory radio/Navi removed? Obviously the audio and navi information will not be displayed anymore but just want to make sure if there are any other systems affected by removing the factory radio.
