Thanks guys, I just love this forum, so much knowledge and so MANY people willing to share that knowledge.

There was a "What-is-it" thread a while back that never went very far because it was either too easy or impossible. This one with a part number was simple if you know how to use Google. Put in either of those part numbers and corvette and you get the answer dozens of times.

Then there are those of us who knew what it is immediately after seeing the same question asked a dozen times in the last 6 years.
Same exact thing happened to me last Sat. I removed the trim and thing was hanging out in there. I almost jumped on here to ask, but Googled the p/n and found it was a temp sensor. So after a little more looking to see where it would hang, or clip on, I realized that vent looking cutout features in the trim had a provision for it. Then I found it had a square tab that clocked it onto the trim provision for it. Stuck it on there and all good.
You sure got fast answers on here. That's why I love this forum. Everyone seems to have "been there, done that" with almost everything you can think of regarding their vette. Kudo's to everyone on here...!!!!.

if it has a little fan in it, and its right next to the ignition, its the air temp sensor for the A/C system, you'll be more shocked when you go a little lower to find a bluetooth mic connected to nothing
