Default Wind blocking mod...

So which is this best? Should I be budget minded or get it tricked out? Was considering the WindRestrictor or Windblox. Maybe, there's another. I dunno. BTW if this is the wrong forum I humbly apologize.

I bought a Windrestrictor and like it. It's convenient because it's always there without needing removal and installation. Not to mention that I got the lighted one with Corvette Jake. Cheapest price I found was a "make offer" listing direct from Windrestrictor on ebay.

Agree with BadAV, like that you can leave it in and it does cut down the wind noise enough so you can talk with someone in the car. I bought the smoked glass with the Corvette insignia. Install was pretty easy.

I started to do some serious research into this matter after my wife inherited her C6 convertible last year and celebrated by taking it out for a top down 5 hour "joy ride" on a sunny but sub freezing November day. I have never owned a convertible and admit that was one of my most unpleasant experiences I have ever had in a car with the exception of the Orgasmic acceleration.

With the exception of the Wind Restrictor the rest looked like an afterthought and since it can be left permanently installed there is no hassle of storing it so you can put the top up.

An illuminated Wind Restrictor with a custom graphic is being installed as soon as the Corvette comes out of winter storage.

Remember that directly behind the seats are the fuel tanks...some here have drilled through to install things and ended up puncturing them. Just something to keep in mind.

+1.... IMHO, Windrestrictor is the way to go... a tad expensive, but it looks good AND it works...

Link to some info...

Go with Wind Restrictor. I love mine. It works well and looks good. Although it is a tad bit expensive. I had it equipped with just the red light and wired it into my brake lights.

Default Welp I did it.

Alright, as promised I'll write about my wind restrictor experience here.

This is the design I wanted. I dmed the guy who runs the Twitter about it. He was a bit overzealous, but got me where I needed to be. I did buy the light kit too. I figure if I'm showing off spend a few extra $$$s. I'll show it off in the next few pics. It came with all the bells and whistles. Seemed thick and well polished. You could comb your hair in the reflection.

Got a handyman friend to help me with the install. It was fairly simple but feel like the method is a bit outdated. I'm more of a plug and play type guy. They've probably got "an app for that" but I went right to what I wanted to buy and clicked the boxes. A little over an hour later we got it up and running. It looked good on the vette even without the power on. With the power on its pretty impressive.

The graphic looked good. I was skeptical because I've seen half-peeled pictures falling off of crappy trucks. The lasering in makes a difference. Also, lights shined nice in the glass (acrylic). The kit with different lights is fun. Works nice with a black vette.

I guess my only critiques are kind of minor. Tell Twitter dude to calm down and installation wasn't bad but if there's a next time I need an easier way. I promised to link for a few coins off so here you go if you want to order. Some showing off under this paragraph. Positive experience and happy with the quality. Does what it says so far. I will use the warranty if needed. I don't mean to sound jaded, but trust and money can never be friends.

I've been considering this wind blocker. Apparently it's the only one on the market that you can leave in place with the top up. Are you still happy with your purchase? Also, did you get a discount code you can share? Thanks for posting feedback looks amazing!

I'm very skeptical. I have tried a couple (even went so far as to "seal" the restrictor to the deck/waterfall. While they helped, the biggest improvement came from...putting the windows up. Side wind seems to be the biggest offender.
Not a fan, but curious about your results.

I find it helps a lot. I don't like running with the top down and windows up (think it looks stupid, but YMMV!), but in the event I want a more quiet interior I will roll them up. There is some "back wind" that comes through between the bottom of the Windrestrictor and the driveshaft tunnel but it doesn't bother me a whole lot since it tends to blow on your elbow. If it bothered someone a lot it would be easy to make a "drape" to attach across to block everything.
