How are the valves controlled on the BB fusion exhaust on a non NPP 07 base(z51)? Is it a switch wired to the interior, or something wireless. Thanks.
I did a google search on the fusion yesterday. Since I have NPP I didn't pay much attention but I think there is a separate kit you must buy to hook up the vacuum just like factory. I even found a You Tube video about how to hook it up. Seems like another $169 but it's easy to find.
Ive read that as well, but the descriptions say it's bi mode and appears it can be manually switched, but not sure. I'm sure someone will be along that has one to chime in.. thanks
Has to have vacuum source to actuate the valves. So you have to plumb it in. If you install all the OEM stuff you can then use a switch to activate it.
The butterfly is controlled by a vacuum valve for non-NPP C6’s, as well as the C4 and C5 Fusion exhausts–which we built and developed completely in house. On the Z06 and the 2008 C6 with the NPP option, this valve is controlled by the ECU. The valve opens based on RPM and throttle position. The problem is the factory exhaust is very quiet, even with the valve open. Our expertise here at B&B is getting the “tone” right for your Corvette, and we think we nailed this one. Even in the closed position, the tone is deeper, louder, and more aggressive. Open the valves, the overall volume and tone increases to the point heads will turn when you drive up.
*Add our FCOR-0468 conversion kit for Corvette models without factory NPP controls. The kits comes complete with all the wiring, remote switch, vacuum line, vacuum accumulator, and vacuum switch needed for installation. Can only be ordered with Fusion Exhaust Systems.

I have the Fusion and I absolutely love it. It is switched via a key fob-type button, but actuated by vacuum from the intake manifold. There is a small radio receiver unit installed in the passenger footwell, and another larger unit in the rear ( fits easily in the storage compartment)

Someone had a writeup on this forum in which he installed buttons on the tombstone, soldered to the fob. A much cleaner look. I have installed the buttons, but am still trying to get the wiring right.
I have a switch mounted on the dead man pedal, like the old dimmer switch. A simple push of the foot is all it takes. Plus you cant see it. Took all of 15 minutes to install.

Same thing that I did. And we can change the tone while keeping both hands on the wheel, during spirited driving.
Still have it and works like a champ.
The BB system can be ordered several ways, with NPP from the factory, or add Mild to Wild if your car came without. Biggest pain is getting that vacuum port opened and getting the vac hose on there. It's tight for big paws.
