A little more progress

Yes, you can order them without the Jake, but this was custom embroidery so you would have to specifically request the "Corvette Racing" logo if that's what you want. I had to send them a .png image for them to work from. The shade of red leather isn't optional either; they only have one to choose from.

Next on my list are new DBA brake rotors and powder coated calipers from TPS Mak, and possibly another hydrodipped part from American Hydrocarbon. After that I start setting money aside for the go fast parts I'll be having installed after this show/driving season. I might go wide body down the road, but not certain if I want to do that yet.

Burning Brakes
Hey Ed the seat covers are looking sharp! I just ordered my seat covers/shift boot/brake boot/console cover a couple days ago. You mentioned letting someone else do the console cover and ebrake boot, why is that?

I opted to let my upholstery guy do those two parts because of the labor and equipment required to do them. The console cover will need multiple clamps of some sort, not to mention more hands than I have, to hold the material in place so the bottom plate can be screwed on. The e-brake boot has to be glued on, and will also require clamps, so this went on that list too. Just didn't feel like going out and spending more money on tools that I probably won't use again.

Melting Slicks
They look great ED, color matching the interior to the exterior is difficult other then white or black. In most cases your better off going with an offset color rather then trying to match.

Just got word from my upholstery guy; my last two interior pieces are ready. I'll be picking them up after work today, and installing them this weekend, which will complete my interior.

Finally managed to snap some pics this morning in the parking garage at work. It's dark when I get to work so had to use the flash.
Also, if you look, you can see the wrinkles in the seat skins are gradually going away and smoothing out. One of the advantages of a vert is the ability to expose the entire interior to the sun.
