Steering Column Lock Problems
I have a 2005 coupe and had the dreaded steering column lock failure. I was able to start the car by pulling the negative battery cable. Should I plan on having the lock replaced and would the Chevy dealer be the one to do it in the Metro Detroit area?

Dump it or it will just happen again. Eventually the part will be discontinued, so dump it now.

There is no steering column lock on a 2005 C-6.
