Seat memory issues
i just recently purchased an 06 and I'm having some issues with the seat memory. I've gone through the settings and set up how I want everything, and gone through the display and set it up to remember on entry and exit, but as soon as I start up the car, the seats and mirrors move to the old settings. I press the number 1 on the seat memory switch and everything moves back to how I set it, but as soon as I start the car again, everything moves back. Any thoughts?

When you have your seats and mirrors and radio presets done. Hold the memory seat button on the door down for a few seconds until it "beeps". Then the memory is retained under that preset.

I've done that more times than I can count. Lol. I have resorted to setting all 3 seat memory positions to the same position. Seems to work so far. Think I may have a more involved electrical issue. Sometimes the radio does not come on right away. And sometimes it will show driver 2 on the dash display.

Cad., GMC and Buick. If you take it to a Dealer they can reflash the Comp. It works for a while then!

Each Fob holds complete settings for each FOB, #1 & #2.
Look on rear of FOB, #'s imprinted on back.
#2 accommadates a second driver's settings providing they use #2.
Make certain you're using #1 for main driver.

That makes sense. I am using FOB #2 because the key ring on FOB #1 is cracked. Ah the joys of buying a 10 year used car. Lol. I have noticed that you can get new FOB's, how does that work in getting them set up?

Wait, learning curve will continue.
For example your C6's electronics ever begin acting weird, or not at all?
If it isn't a weak/dying battery, always check cell V first.
Not a bad battery, more often than not a simple computer reset solves problem. Meaning disconnecting/reconnecting battery forcing all systems to reload.
[*Anytime C6 power's interrupted, windows must be indexed...see OM for procedure.]
A surprising # of owners do not know this trick, spend good $ on diagnostics chasing rabbits down holes.
*One senior & very respected member well versed on C6 systems insists computers reboot w/ every engine cycle. Claims a forced reboot's unnecessary, even dangerous due to possible spikes.
Problem is sometimes systems don't reboot as they're supposed to.
Remember this for the future.

Many members use a dealer, of course dealers charge for this service & fees vary so call around for best price.
Many members addressed this procedure over the years, a search will turn more than one thread. This'll get you started:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-key-fobs.html
Also, YouTube probably has several videos illustrating the steps.
Have you familiarized yourself w/ FOB keys? What/when they're used, and key location? (Keys used to pop hatch to access driver's door manual release cable in case power's dead.)
Now's the time to learn before you get caught flat-footed.
Read Owner's Manual, if you don't have one copies are on the Internet.
