I need to replace my harmonic balancer and I'm thinking about going with the summit brand PN SUM-c2501.
My question is, has anyone used this item on their 2009+ LS3 engines?
Summits website states is will only fit up to 2008 which is an LS3.
Any difference between the 2008 LS3 to the 2009 LS3?
I did call and spoke to a tech but they were not able to confirm if it will work on a 2009+ LS3.
If there are other brand balancers that will work on both 2008 and 2009 year cars , then I would think the Summit balancer would work on both cars also... It makes sense to me.......WW
PS... I just checked on both the Powerbond and the ATI balancers, and the same model number balancer fits both the 2008 and 2009 Corvette.. I would say from these findings, that if the Summit balancer fits the 2008, it would also fit the 2009....WW

I figured the same thing but wanted to confirm with the company who actually made it. Too bad they don't know what they are selling.

If you don't want to spend the extra $200.00 to buy an ATI, try Powerbond. Lots of good reviews here on both of those balancers
Kinda weird that the company that makes and sells the balancer don't even know what they are selling. Just based on that I decided not to buy from them and bought a New OEM balancer off ebay for $100 shipped.

The guy on the phone will only tell you what you see on the website, they aren't allowed to know anything else unfortunately it is the nature of the beast.
However, if it fits an '08 it will fit an '09. Cancel your order for the OEM one if you can, it will only fail on you just as the original OEM balancer did. Need to either order the Summit, ATI, Powerbond other it will need to be replaced again.

the original GM balancer is the biggest piece of crap on the market...I would put on a cheap China balancer before using another OEM balancer....My car is on it's 3rd GM balancer and it will probably need another balancer before long... Let me point out, all these replacements were done under warranty, before I bought the car.......WW

I can say for certain the snout is the same from 2008-09 on the LS3 so that balancer should work just fine. I bought the Trick Flow/Summit one for my car (LS2) and it is nice and straight and has been that way since I installed it. If you don't mind spending more, the ATI is about the nicest damper on the market.
Kinda late to cancel the GM balancer I ordered on ebay.
My car was at performance shop for a blower pulley swap and tune. I asked him to check the balancer out and sure enough if had a wobble. I jumped the gun and the GM balancer is on, pulley is installed and car is now dyno'd. Too late now, i guess I'll swap out to a ATI once I do the cam swap.
My car has 80k miles so if the balancer holds up another 10k miles I won't complain.
