Default Best tires for 2005 C6

Looking for advice on the best tire for my 2005 C6. I do not take the car to the track, just everyday driving.

I'd say you'd probably want to get the ones made from rubber. Those Flintstones specials are tough on the suspension.

Exactly the same tires on my 05. Previous owner had them installed just before I bought the car. Love them. Smooth, quiet. DD car too. Only driven on dry roads so I don't know how they are in wet but I bet they will be fine.

I have an 08, I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the Firestone Firehawks myself.

You may want to look into a set of tire pressure monitor sensors also, they tend to crap out after 10-12 years.

I would not use a Firestone on a wheelbarrow, too many memories of absolute garbage.

They're a steal because they're discontinued and the tire companies are clearing their stock....

Just installed Michelin A/S3+ from Discount Tire Direct (bought new Nurburgring wheels too). Huge improvement from original Goodyears on our 2008.

Not sure there is a "which is a better tire for my 05". I would do a little research, pick the better tire for the cheapest price. Same thing you would do for any other vehicle, no difference. Corvettes do not require a "special" tire. Anything round and rubber will do, some just do it better than others, and some are more expensive than others. If you are not tracking the car, no need to get "expensive" tires.

I have the firestone wide oval RF's and hate them. They are like driving with rocks as tires. They do last a long time though.

I'm about due for tires and will try the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, its a new tire supposedly better than the pilot super sports. No more runflats for me.

BTW, I'm rolling in an 05 also.

I just put the Michelin A/S 3+ on last Saturday, removing the GY run flats. Only have about 150 miles on them so far but as everyone here has said much improved ride quality. I have no experience with Firestones but on a side note I have the Hankook Ventus V12s on my 96 and like them very much too. Considered them for my 09 but opted for A/S.
