Battery draw
Hey. I recently took out the c6 from winter storage, bought a new 63Ah varta battery which tested good when I bought it and installed a pac gm24 with a sony Headunit aswell.
Everything worked fine, drove a few times then put the car in the garage 3 days ago. Today I was planning on going for a spin, but the battery was completely dead. Not even the alarm was active. Opened the hood and measured the battery, which is at 3.7V so I cant charge it with the trickle charger... Either the battery has failed completely or the car is drawing alot of current for some reason.
My previous battery lasted a year and there was no problem with starting it 3-4 days after I left it. Never used a trickle charger on that battery either.
Been searching a little and wonder if its the amp that doesnt turn off. Does anyone else have problems with high draw with aftermarket headunit and pac gm24? How did you solve this?
