I got a Code p0336 can you guys help me I know it's for the crank but why did I get this code? On my head and cam swap I'm sure I didn't touch this. Car turns on and back fires a ton a lot of crackling and the rpms stay at 0 even though the car is on and I can guess around 1500rpm doesn't hold idle I have no leaks to thanks 08 z06
Google "P0336 LS7", you will see you're not the first to have this after monkeying around with heads and cam. And with all due respect, go back to C6 Z06 discussion. Otherwise you're going to have innocent folks here chime in without knowing what kind of abortion your car is.

I haven't a clue, but I learned this lesson years ago. Step 5 and 7 is a basic on cams and timing. This sounds like a timing issue if its back firing, or the valves are not properly adjusted. Are you sure all your wiring is correct to the injectors and coil packs?

Yup it was running so good put about 25 miles on it today only car I had. Then it happened all of the sudden
Guessing a cam lobe (s). Drain your oil, look for metal debris. Use a cheese cloth to filter the oil. Good luck on this one. Seen it happen to many cam changes.

Nicked or scratched lifter, nicked cam lobe, poorly adjusted valves. Lots of reasons a cam will destroy itself. Mostly caused by mistakes made in the install by scratching the finish, or a damaged lifter. Very easy to nick a lobe on the install. Don't ask how I know that! Hopefully you did not use the original lifters. That will wipe out a cam very quickly. Bent push gods too can cause this grief
