First I have searched the forum and have not found good info so I'll try again: Installed Liftmaster garage door opener yesterday and after having gone through the owner's manual, this forum, Liftmaster, you tube etc, I still can not get the programming to work. I am at my wits end. I have two garages and the other older opener programs fine. Just can't get this rascal to work.. Anyone with 2013 that can offer solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can't speak for your brand of opener, but I had fits programming mine also. Turned out I was pressing the wrong buttons at the wrong time. Bottom line:.....be sure you take your time and follow any directions to the TEE....being sure you press the correct buttons in the correct sequence.......
I just installed my Chamberlain garage door opener 2 weeks ago. My 2012 Corvette has Car2U system, not homelink. As a result, I can not get my sun visor buttons to program to the garage door opener with out buying a Car2U repeater. Liftmaster and Chamberlain are owned by the same company, so if your garage door opener has the new MyQ technology, you won't be able to get it to work with out the repeater. Got one off Amazon for about $30.
Edit: Just to clarify, the repeater gets plugged in to an outlet in your garage and it translates the signal from your car to one that's understood by your garage door opener. If you do get one, you need to buy the Car2U repeater, not the Homelink one.

you have to get a repeater.......the new door openers are MyQ technology designed to be opened and closed using your phone thru wifi.
Make sure what you get is compatible with Car2U.
I just use the control that comes with the opener.

I have an '05' and have the same problem. Liftmaster has an app for your smart phone(if you have one) that works quite well. It basically connects to your home Wi-Fi and transmits the signal that way. Also, you'll always know when your garage door gets opened and closed. And, the app is free.

I have liftmaster and a '13. One has nothing to do with the other. Your new Liftermaster is more than likely a 2.0 which is not compatible with Car2U without repeater, period.

Good to know. I will have to try this.
App will not work without a Internet Gateway. The app is free however. I just bought a new remote for $25.00 and called it a wrap.
