Some cheap knock-off headers and X-pipe from ebay. Less than $600 for everything...

Or you could buy a couple manual cutouts, but this completely bypasses your new axle back. On the plus side...

1. This is probably your cheapest option.
2. Whenever you want to quiet it down, you just put the cutout caps back on.

Hi Darrin, if you were looking for a slightly more aggressive tone out of your vette and already had our axleback system, you could add X mid pipe part# 16462. This does not remove the catalytic converters so you wont have to worry about affecting the legality of the car. You can find more information on our C6 X pipe here:
http://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=16462

Please let us know if you have any questions about it!

I'd say, "install cutouts"!

There is a web site ....you enter www.ebay.com into your computer. It brings up a site where you can buy stuff. Not sure, but I think you type in what you are wanting to buy and several choices likely will come up.

dozen sellers of $230 headers and $190 x-pipes. 230+190=420

I think you'd have to be smoking 420 to think perfect fitment and decent longevity are included in the price.

You could just take the axle back off. That should give you plenty of sound.

Or take the Magnaflow back, get your money back, and get some B & B Fusions

I agree with the other z06 owner on running straights from the axle back. I essentially took off the stock mufflers and used the stock mandrill axle bends into additional 3" pipes that exited into 2 Y tips with 3" inlet and 4" outlet. The sound on idle is a bit louder and raspier than stock z06 mufflers open. The real difference is on WOT but its not unbearable.

I'm sure the previous poster was kidding but I DON'T recommend running straights with an open x pipe. The reverb from the sound will drive you insane in the cab and it's honestly too loud to drive around town. I did this for 5 days while waiting for my tips and it was pretty terrible.
