You can buy a control kit or you can let the car do it naturally. Those valves open when the engine RPM get above 3500, also open when the engine shuts off. But when the engine is started, they close automatically.
I just bought a 2013 3lt coupe,it has I noticed valves like to open the exhaust ,I don't see how to operate them,,,help thanks tonycorvettes
They open by vacuum , usually around 3000-3500 RPM but can be cheated open by pulling the fuse under the passenger side carpet, or by installing a Mild to wild switch.
There are plenty of threads on this subject https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...st-option.html
If the car came with NPP exhaust, then it's programmed to open automatically at higher RPM (around 3000). They are also open at startup until a vacuum is made by the engine.
Pull the red #10 fuse located on passenge side under the dash. If you feel the drone is too loud, install the M/W switch mentioned by other members. Very easy install.

Before I got my M2W switch, I tried pulling the fuse mentioned above and lost my window indexing.....strange no one else had this issue when pulling the fuse. All is well with the switch though, he'll with the remote I leave them open all the time.

You're right about the remote, i very seldom use mine. Actually, I lost one somewhere in the house, and the other I keep in my console. I leave them open so it doesn't sound like a honda.
With getting the MTW switch. I have one on my car mostly for when my wife is in the car. I get tired of hearing her say that it's too much and she cant handle it.
I've got the NPP and added the Mild to Wild right after picking it up at the museum. Like others, I leave mine in the open position nearly all the time. We've got a state trooper who is a real pain unfortunately with drivers, she just received a giglio designation by the court as an unreliable witness. She issues tickets for 1 mph above, any level of window tint and is a well known by all up here. I've been lucky so far but just be be safe I always shut my NPP off whenever I see her on the road.
