Cruising with the top off today, really groovin' Los Lobos' Colossal Head.
The torque of the engine totally matches the slow crazy sax, Latin drums and guitars. Those guys get it in concert too.
I wonder if David Hildalgo owns a 'vette?
(Why was the last Lobos thread killed?)

Sorry, I don't know how to post videos here. These links will take you to some of the songs.
And everyone has posted some good music, I love everything from the Dead to Miles. Of course Los lobos are part of the dead family.
But I am not talking good music, I am talking driving the 'vette with the top off, hitting the gas.....this really works for some unexplained reason.

Sixty eight posts/opinions regarding appropriate music for cruising in the Vette, and not one mention of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
Remarkable...

Doug, I have to agree with Jeff Beck. I was listening to Emotion and Commotion today. Excellent to take the top off, hit the gas and steer.
when I mention Lobos and Jeff Beck, I am not talking highway music. I mean music to hit the gas and feel the torque, to slop around some turns and feel the car. There's something about the music tempo, the rumbling guitar, drunken sax and pounding rhythm.

Love the variety. Country is good. 60s rock is good.
"House of the Rising Sun."
Johnny Rivers. Peter, Paul & Mary. Credence Clearwater Revival. Need I go on.

In the North East it's Rush and Howie Carr. If they're not on then it's Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Animals, Hendrix, Aerosmith... All the old greats.
I almost hang my head in shame when I say this - but I also have an Adele CD in the vette...
They all sound fantastic on the Bose if it's adjusted correctly and really cranked up.
