Some of you all are asses. I'm sure you all were experts before posting here. Cut the OP a break and just welcome them. If you don't feel like explaining what Z51 is just say welcome to the forum. Or don't post.

Did you do ANY research before posting or are you just being lazy? Be honest, and people may be a bit nicer to you.

Don't worry about teh previous comments.
The Z51 package is an option that includes larger stiffer sway bars. stiffer springs, bigger shocks, drilled rotors, trans cooler oil cooler and power steering cooler. It is a handling package for track use such as auto crossing. It does ride rougher then a base unit and some people don't care for that.

You left some things out. The OP can use Google to find the rest. That or his glasses so he can see the exact same thread a few posts up from this one at this time....

Two posts. Two threads on the same subject.

And no response back yet from the OP on either.

Engine oil cooler also. All automatics have fluid coolers but the manual transmission fluid cooler comes with the Z51 package only.

The Z51 package varies a little bit from year to year, but mostly the same parts.

Z51 Performance Package. The Z51 Performance Package brings Corvette Coupe performance very close to the same level as the widely admired Z06. The Z51 offers more aggressive dampers and springs, larger stabilizer bars, and larger, cross-drilled brake rotors for optimum track performance capability while still providing a well-controlled and comfortable ride. Extensive racetrack testing reveals that a C6 equipped with the Z51 suspension almost equals the lap time of a C5 Z06 – marking a major advance in the overall performance of a Corvette Coupe by nearly approximating the extreme performance capabilities of the vaunted Z06 at a remarkable value.

He's a new guy, but presumably an adult who has access to 'the Google'. Anyone with half a brain can search Z51 package and get the answer in an instant. This just encourages new people on the forum to continue asking stupid questions and clogging the message boards with drivel. This thread could have been avoided entirely.

Can't we teach people to fish instead of coddling them these days? Is that how soft we've gotten? Besides, he didn't even pose a question, he made a statement.

If the only threads here were on topics that had not been answered many times before, this forum would not exist.

If you don't like a thread, don't read it. At the very least, don't reply just to bash somebody who does not know the answer.

If you're not going to help with the answer, don't post. Hundreds of thousands of us got along just fine before you joined the forum and decided not to contribute anything.

He posted a question, he just forgot to end it with a question mark. Did you flunk English when you were in school?

I am contributing. Trying to stop these types of dumb questions. There are hundreds of legit questions posted every day, this one just reeked of utter laziness and its very annoying so I spoke up.

I actually meant to ask, does anyone know the first year of the C6?
