finally went to GM for my Service active handling (solved)
last week i went to the GM dealer and he checked the codes and found nothing which pissed me off as i just wasted money. but he said because of my weight which is 240 pounds i am affecting the alignment of the car making the SAH message pop up from time to time. I had my brother drive my car multiple times after that and hes about 190. it never came up once when he drove it and all the tires warmed up equally. for me, the right front tire always lags behind. this is messed up lol. So GM doesnt test these cars with bigger dudes in it?

haha...I think with Corvette demographics GM tests with 300 lbs drivers.
Seriously, disregard that dealer's diagnosis.
Do a search.....steering column wiring harness "comb", wheel speed sensors, to name two.
If you can not DIY this, yes you are at the knowledge of a repair shop.
In my case, I found the steering sensor (where the comb is inserted) movable. So I secured it in a more rigid position. That worked for me.

I am afraid I respectfully disagree (or disrespectfully) with your dealer's diagnosis. I am well over 350 pounds and never, ever have an issue with AH in my 2008 Vert. Nor did I have issues with my 2013 GS or the other C6's I owned. I can't believe they gave you that diagnosis with a straight face. I would be considering legal action.

That sounds a little bit weird! I'd find someplace else to take my car.

This is why dealerships are terrible places to take your car... If they don't know something, they just make something up..... Find a good Corvette shop, it may take awhile to get your car there, but you get better mechanics at a shop that specializes in Corvettes....WW

Too bad he did not put that diagnosis in writing. I would be engaged at that comment. Very callous statement. There is no way your weight is throwing your car out of alignment. If that is true, GM needs to refund you the money you spent on the car, then Post on the sticker that people over a certain weight is not allowed to buy this car. Put scales on front of the door, with bells and a red light to disqualify potential buyers. See how well that works for them.

hahaha! That's hilarious. Somehow, it's always your fault! I bet if you were a short, thin guy, it'd be because you don't weigh enough. Definitely NOT solved..

This is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. You should expose this dealer for us. I guess if I put a passenger in the car, that would off set the weight difference? How about the amount of fuel in the tank; full as opposed to almost empty? Luggage in the trunk? Ok, I can see how certain weights affect the headlight alignment when being set to spec., but this? What a joke.

Your 240 lb. weight is causing the Service Active Handling message to appear??? Really??? Get as far away from that Chevy dealer as you can and never take your car back to them. I got a Service Active Handling message on my car when I was weighing in at 329 lbs. and all I had to do is replace the battery. I'm on a diet, but I still weigh 289 and there are no Service Active Handling messages.

I'm shocked by their analysis as well.
I figured it had to be a loose tire valve cap or was it the old air in the tires needing changed.

I'm thinking that the connector under your seat needs to be reseated. I believe I have read that the connector being loose can cause an AH error and should be tie wrapped together. Your brother is lighter than you so the connector doesn't pull apart as much and doesn't throw the error.

I would have told that idiot at whatever stealership you went to things he has probably never heard before.
What is the name of this dealership?????
Please tell us. I don't understand why people won't say what dealership that they are having trouble with. There should be a "Sticky" on this forum.
from my exp. Terry laBonte chevy will never get my business.
Bill Black fixed my car after I called Detroit on them.
In my opinion both of these dealers have no clue.

Ok, the connector under the seat is the air bag light problem so disregard that thought. Lol. But certainly that comb connector in the steering column may be loose and if you have your steering wheel column extended more than your brother then that would account for him not having the problem. So maybe it's not a weight difference between you and your brother but a steering wheel position difference. Trying to work in why you get the error and he doesn't.

As soon as we boosted the car and got it started it displayed an airbag fault that wouldn't cancel so I had to take it to a shop that had a Teck2 since you couldn't access the airbag module with an OBD2 scanner.
