Does not concern me because I never see myself driving close to those speeds, but still interesting.

My new Vette has new Sumitomo's, which seem fine, so far. Pretty quiet, decent grip.
But i'm pretty sure though that if one is on a tire rated for 168 and they go 169 that the tire isn't going to blow....

You are certainly correct, but the on-board nannies will notify local LE, and the GS will pinpoint your location. So, DO NOT exceed the speed rating for any tire...

A good choice. I put the Hankooks on my DD '10 GS 20K miles ago. I burned thru the Badyears and Invos within the first 30K I had the car. The Hankooks are a good street tire. Good grip, good wet weather capability, very good/quiet ride and they are wearing very well. They should last another 10-15K with no problem. I would probably buy them again.

chevy replaced the center caps on my bro's C7.

Apparently there was a warranty issue with them.

I have never had anything but great service from Discount....they always make good when something has been wrong, etc. They have fixed tires from family cars they weren't even bought there at times. I brought in my wheels/tires off of my '78 Vette that I wanted balanced. I did not buy the tires there and expected to pay. As I went at lunch the Mgr said he guys were all out at lunch, but he personally took them all and did the work, then would not accept and payment. I even tried to buy him lunch and he refused. He said he saw I was a long time customer and just asked me to come back and buy more tires. Every place has an issue every now and then where something breaks or gets ruined, and the key is how do they handle it? The guys at Discount, never squabble, just replace what ever they wronged.
