Has anyone tried this product? Seems like a good deal and with the purchase of an additional $9 app, does a whole lot more. Seriously considering this, just looking for some feedback.

I have one of the generic bluetooth scanners like that. Is there a reason you prefer wifi over bluetooth? Also, I paid less than $10 for mine and use it with the Torque Pro app. Might be worth considering .
If you have an android device, I would highly suggest getting a bluetooth one. The wifi ones work fine, but your phone will try to disconnect you from the wifi network as it has no internet and can take a while to connect.

I have a BFh I believe, and paid $4.50 for the Torque Pro. Entire cost less than $20, and it works great. As a bonus I can even display my phone's screen with Torque Pro on my Kenwood head unit and have real-time guage readouts displayed there.

I have an Android head unit that can run Torque (and any Android app) natively. I find the screen is really too low to be super useful. Do you use yours on the head unit often?

Not very often, but it is helpful, and provides a larger display than my phone can.
